A NOTE ON CORONAVIRUS
As the COVID-19 virus outbreak spreads globally, MAI DAY SPA is taking extra steps to ensure that our staff and customers remain safe at all times.
Our rooms have high air volume and that air is refreshed after every session. Our surfaces are cleaned throughout the day, right down to our EFTPOS machine.
We follow WHO-recommended hand washing practices between treatments to eliminate the chance of manual transmission. Our therapists wear masks during treatments involving prolonged close contact and the possibility of vapour exchange. If you'd like a face mask at any stage, please ask.
We already employ rigorous hygiene practices around clean linen and foot baths, using robust disinfectant techniques to keep our customers safe.
As a further safeguard, we’ll ask you to wash your hands before your appointment begins.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer treatment to anyone who has arrived in New Zealand within the last 14 days, is displaying flu symptoms, cough or fever, or is otherwise required to self-isolate. Thanks for your understanding.
So far there’s a growing number of travel-related cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand, along with some unexplained ones that may suggest incipient community spread. We're following developments and remaining vigilant in the interests of our customers and staff. We will respond responsibly to any escalation in the current alert level around COVID-19. Your safety comes first.
